Public Meeting Notice Regarding EIR Addendum

Following Monterey Peninsula Airport District (District) certification of the Airport Master Plan Final Environmental Impact Report (AMP EIR) (SCH #2015121105) and adoption of the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP), Findings and a Statement of Overriding Considerations under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public Resources Code Sections 21000 et seq.) on November 26, 2018, the District approved the AMP EIR’s environmentally Superior Alternative (Alternative 1) as the Monterey Regional AMP (Approved Project).

Since then, the Airport has determined that minor changes and modifications to the approved AMP are beneficial.  In compliance with CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines, District staff has evaluated the environmental ramifications of the Project’s proposed minor modifications to the approved AMP.  Based on the results of that evaluation, an Addendum (August 2020) to the previously certified AMP EIR has been prepared in accordance with State CEQA Guidelines Section 15164.  The proposed Project modifications are discussed in Section 4 of the Addendum.   Addendum link.

The Monterey Peninsula Airport District Board will consider the Addendum and proposed Project modifications at their regularly scheduled meeting on August 12, 2020. Public notice link.
